The primary audience for this style guide includes the University of Chicago community as well as a wider network of scholars and activists working in and round conflict resolution. By addressing the unique needs of this audience, the guide ensures that social media assets effectively convey the brand values of the Pearson Institute.

In response to our comprehensive review of their existing social media assets, we proposed a refreshed color palette aimed at enhancing visual consistency, readability, and inclusivity. The refreshed palette strategically reduces the number of colors to 8, yet significantly increases usability with 30 unique combinations, achieving higher contrast for improved legibility. Color is our tool to play, create dynamism, and categorize. Importantly, this refreshed palette is meticulously designed to address the needs of users with color blindness. By employing a limited color palette for each asset and ensuring a high contrast ratio for headings and titles, we aim to create a more accessible and user-friendly visual experience.

Our approach involves aligning content to a grid of 1⁄3, providing a structured and organized layout, which in turn allows more leeway for playfulness through color. Font sizes are doubled for each hierarchy, offering a clear visual hierarchy for improved content understanding. The use of vertical text introduces dynamism and draws attention to key elements.
